Hanoi Trade Corporation which is located in Le Chi Hamlet, Gia Lam District, Hanoi, is a state-owned company, operating under the model of mother and daughter companies with 33 member companies. The group’s scopes of business comprise importing, exporting, domestic trade, services and investment.
The first impression of Faculty of Development Economics students is the warm welcome of the staff and management board of the industrial zone. The management board representatives also spent time to talk with the UEB students. Representing the industrial zone and the Hapro Corporation Mr. Nguyen Quang Lam has introduced an overview of the Hapro Industrial Zone, including its development, management models as well as the actual status and business performance and the investment. He also discussed with the students of the Faculty about general difficulties of the industrial areas in Hanoi as well as the benefits of developing these industrial complex to the capital’s economy and the neighboring people’s living.
The UEB students have raised many interesting questions about operation models of an industrial zone, how to bring high economic efficiency... A number of existing issues drew the students’ attention are about environment and waste treatment in industrial complex, as well as the staff policies within Hapro industrial zone.

The UEB students have been visiting the production facilities such as porous membranes factory, mechanical and motorcycle accessories factory... and the impressive visit to instant noodle plant of Hapro. Under the guidance of Ms. Mai Khue Anh, Director Hapro Noodle Factory cum Executive Director Hapro Trade Corporation, the students had opportunity to visit the manufacturing, packing and consumption process as well as to get to know Hapro brands.

After the field trip, Ms. Mai Khue Anh has invited UEB students and staff to stay and enjoy Hapro’s products at lunch with workers and staff of the factory.
The trip has given the students interesting and valuable experience. The warm hospitality of the management board of industrial zone as well as practical understanding of business and workers’ living would help the student integrate into their workplace after leaving university.
