On 19th July, leaders of VNU University of Economics and Business had a meeting with representatives of Sanno Institute of Management, Japan.
Attending the meeting, from Sanno Institute, there were Mr. Nobuhiro Taya - Director of Marketing Center, Mr. Yuichiro Sato - Head of Marketing Division, Mr. Hidetoshi Naito - Senior researcher. From the UEB, there were Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Research and Partnership Development, Dr. Ho Chi Dung - Head of Marketing Department, School of Business Administration, Dr. Nguyen Cam Nhung - Vice Dean of the Faculty of International Business and Economics; Dr. Nguyen Phu Ha - Lecturer, Faculty of Finance and Banking.
The partnership between the UEB and Sanno Institute is recently built. The two sides have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in March 2017 and a number of cooperative activities have been successfully implemented. Beside cooperation in research and short-term training, the School of Business Administration, UEB and Sanno Institute have co-organized the symposium on Japanese management in Asia: Building business partnership in Vietnam. From that foundation, Sanno wishes to build deeper and broader cooperative activities with the UEB.
Exchange on the sidelines of the meeting Exchanging with the partner, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu highly appreciated the cooperation with Sanno, especially the mentioned conference. She wished to expand the cooperation in future conference/workshop.
At the meeting, Sanno representative shared the plans to open a representative office in Vietnam in April, 2018. This is to support the strategy of expanding and developing the market in Vietnam. Sanno's representative said that one of Sanno's development focuses is to work closely with partners in Vietnam to develop human resources, especially through short-term training programs, seminars, workshops.
