Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Hong Son - UEB Rector and Dr. Le Phung Thang - Citycom General Director sign the MOU
Leaders of VNU University of Economics and Business and Citicom Commercial JSC have signed an MOU under the witness of representatives of two parties on 9 April.
Representing Citicom Commercial JSC (Citicom) to attend to the MOU siging ceremony were Dr. Le Phung Thang - General Director, Mr. Ha Van Long - PR Manager, Mr. Tran Van Hai - Sales Manager and Ms. Hoang Thi Hong Hoa - Administration & Human Resources Manager.
On the side of VNU-UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Hong Son - UEB Rector, Dr. Vu Anh Dzung - Vice Rector together with leaders of offices of Research & Partnership Development, Planning - Finance, General Administration as well as deans of Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Finance - Banking.
Speaking at the ceremony, UEB Rector said that it is the first time the university signs an MOU with an enterprise run by a UEB’s alumnus
According to the MOU, the VNU-UEB and Citicom are implementing research projects based on the needs and capability of the two sides.
The VNU-UEB compromised to provide long-term and on-demand short-term trainings to improve management capacity and soft skills for senior leaders. The university invited Citicom to participate in instructing students and graduate students according to the needs and abilities of the two sides.
In addition, the two sides are cooperating in probation or training programs, updating knowledge of actual situation to students and faculty at Citicom; implementing pilot recruitment programs, guiding students in interview and career orientation for UEB students…. The Citicom also sponsored a scholarship fund “Accompanying potential students” of the university.

The UEB’s Office of Research and Partnership Development and the Citicom’s Office of Management and Human Resources are acting as leader in the implementation of cooperation between the two parties, especially in annual planning for specific collaborative activities.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, leaders of the Citicom and VNU-UEB expressed their ambition in the long-term partnership in research, teaching to serve the needs of development of both two parties. They expected to introducing students to access the enterprise business environment, enhancing practical experience in order to improve the quality of students after graduations to meet the actual requirements of society.

Following is the initial discussion between the two leaders about specific cooperation activities in research, for example, the UEB carried out research on practical activities of the Citicom in the economic crisis situation, while the corporation proposed the UEB to study on domestic steel market…
Earlier, The Citicom and the VNU-UEB has had several collaboration activities, the signing ceremony was to develop the relationship to a strategic comprehensive partnership.
