At the program, there were diverse questions asked and discussions exchanged enthusiastically between parents and representatives of the two partner schools, ranging from how to choose a school, and choose a major to mental health of students during this life period, as well as details on enrollment and application process.
Parents asked questions to the University of Economics and Business, VNU and St. Francis
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu and other department representatives directly provided consultation and answered meaningful questions from parents who are in the process of choosing majors and careers.
In answering a heated question of “As long as you get into a prestigious university, your major wouldn’t matter, right?, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu said, “This view is neither right nor wrong. I agree more with the opinion that students should still understand themselves well to choose a major that is most aligned with their interests and strengths. However, I concede that studying at a prestigious university gives you a lot of advantages and competitiveness in the labor market, such as an invisible promise of job prospects for your later. If you enroll in the Business Administration program at UEB with degree awarded by the University of St. Francis, we believe that you will not only study at two leading universities in Economics and Business in Vietnam and the United States, but also be properly educated in one of the most sought-after professions today with many future job opportunities lined up.”

The program continues with questions from parents about educational programs with international standing, on whether this degree is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh, Rector of the University, answered, “All partner universities of UEB are prestigious universities with a long history in the United States. After receiving a diploma from those universities, all students would be supported to receive recognition of diplomas by the Ministry of Education and Training. Parents and students can rest assured that their degree is valid both in the United States and in Vietnam.”
