Information day of MBA joint program between Benedictine University and UEB

Dr. Sandra gives a speech on the Information Day
On 16th April 2009, at the University of Economics and Business, VNU an Information Day was held for a bilingual Master of Business Administration joint program between the University of Economics and Business, VNU and Benedictine University (U.S.A).

This course is one of the first American MBA programs to have been accredited and will be delivered bilingually in Hanoi.

This will be an MBA program designed for managers, leaders, and senior coordinators, private enterprises; and government agencies,as well as the general public.

 Representing the Benedictine University, were Dr. Sandra Gill - Dean of College of Business Studies and Mr. Nguyen P. Hinh,- Program Manager of Vietnam Institute. Representatives from the University of Economics and Business, were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Son,- Vice Rector, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, MA,- Deputy Director of Center for International Training and Education (CITE), as well as coordinators from the International Cooperation Programs.

With an attendance of nearly 100 people on the Information Day, it’s appropriate to state that the bilingual MBA program between the University of Economics and Business, VNU and Benedictine University (USA) is a great attraction to those who want to pursue a quality-rich MBA joint program with a prestigious American university.. Speeches were delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Dr. Sandra Gill and Mrs. Tran Thu Ha, the program’s coordinators, to introduce general information about the University of Economics and Business, VNU and Benedictine University: the program’s strong points as well as manners of course delivery; course syllabi, tests, quizzes, team projects … and final examinations.

According to these speeches, representatives from both sides emphasized the program’s practical factors and concluded that the program would provide the best from Benedictine University and the University of Economics and Business, VNU. It would provide students with necessary knowledge and skills to deal with various situations related to business, management and enterprise leadership in the globalizing and progressive business environment.

After both sides’ presentation, it came to the most important part of the day: question and answer session between those who were interested in the program and both universities’ representatives. Many questions related to Benedictine University’s ranking; faculty; material delivery; enrollment requirements; scholarships and so on were asked and then explained explicitly by both partners.

The Information Day was concluded after nearly 3 hours of discussion between the audience and both schools’ representatives. Interested candidates were really impressed by the professional and practical cooperation between the two partners as well as the information provided on the Information Day. It marked a good beginning for success of the bilingual Master of Business Administration joint program with Benedictine University.
