Moreover, this event marked an important progress in the relationship between BeONE and AIESEC as well as an outstanding step in the activities held by students of Faculty of International Economics and Business.
Focusing on creativeness in study, major theme of the workshop is mutual understanding between cultures. In realizing that common understanding of two social conventions is not enough for a close relationship, the guest speaker from the Philippines led the audience into how to know foreign culture inside out.
To begin the meeting, with a warm and friendly spirit, the speaker made a detailed presentation about Philippines. The audiences were all excited to discover extraordinary facts about Philippine tradition, geography, cuisines, clothes and festivals. So many questions were raised about the beautiful island country, revealing so much more superb fun pieces of information for Vietnamese students.
To emphasize the core of the event - mutual understanding between cultures, the workshop was continued with a team work activity. Participants were divided in to groups and had to choose a topic in order to express the specialties of Vietnam. After a few minutes of preparation, attendants surprisingly had shown that they not only knew their own culture as well as they thought. However, they were eager to express the pride of their country.
The second part of the workshop is the presentation by the Indian student from AIESEC. He talked about the general knowledge of HIV/AIDS, such as: the concept of HIV/AIDS, HIV transmission, HIV/AIDS prevention. This was the interesting and valuable topic to the students.
Leaving the nice evening behind, everyone carried a deep impression of a close and cozy meeting. This event brought the two cultures closer despite the geographic gap and furthermore creates an interest of learning about other countries among the attendants.
