The lecturers of the University of Economics and Business attending the forum included Dr. Nguyen Cam Nhung and Dr. Nguyen Thi Vu Ha from Faculty of International Business and Economics.

This forum was an opportunity for scholars and experts to discuss current international financial issues in the region. The Forum was divided into four sessions, focusing on: the Road Belt Initiative and International Financial Cooperation; the mechanism for setting exchange rates and exchange rate corridors; capacity building for international production and multinational financial services; China-ASEAN financial cooperation and the establishment of Platform Big Data. At the forum, Prof. Robert Carhart Merton, who won the 1997 Nobel Prize in Economics, gave a presentation on Financial Innovation and FinTech in the Digital Revolution at the Forum.

Joining the forum, Dr. Nguyen Cam Nhung presented the topic on “The commercial impact of real exchange rates and institutional quality: Evidence from Vietnamese enterprises”; while Dr. Nguyen Thi Vu Ha presented the study on “International Capital Movement and Macroeconomic instability in Vietnam”. The studies provided an assessment of the Vietnamese economy in the overall financial situation of the region.
