UEB researchers worked in Kunming (China)

From 17th to 20th August 2010, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - UEB Vice Rector and Dr. Dang Duc Son - Vice Dean of Finance-Banking Faculty attended to the Final Workshop under program Phnom Penh plan for development and management sponsored by Asia Development Bank (ADB) in Kunming, China.

This project has been implementing by University of Economics and Business research team, headed by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, with the cooperation of the Cambodian Royal University of Law and Economics, Mekong Institute, Yunnan (China) and the Central Institute of the Economic Management (Vietnam).

Attending to the workshop were Program’s managers and other three research teams and advisors from Chian, New Zealand, Thailand, Philippine…

Representing UEB research team, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son reported search findings, in which, he demonstrated that financil service is one of the motivating elements of border trade among Vietnam - China - Cambodia and Lao. He also recommended adequate policy to promote border trade for Greater Mekong countries. The project received many suggesting and advisory ideas for its completion.

 During his time in Kunming, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son visited and had a working session at Yunnan University with Dr. Shi Ben Zhi, President; Dr. Zhang Lin, Vice President and other representatives. At the meeting, two sides has raised and discussed on the cooperative opportunities, especially in research, organizing international workshop and exchanging research publications.

The visit to Kunnimg of UEB research team has opened other exchanging and networking opportunity in partnership development and fund raising for other research project of the university.
