For UEB, lecturers who are working abroad are considered as its “ambassadors.” Nham Phong Tuan who is a Lecturer of the Section of Strategic Management, School of Business Administration, has actively participated in a series of academic exchange activities, connecting with leading scientists worldwide, and teaching students at the Griffith Business School, Queensland, Australia. In scientific activities, Tuan attended an exchanging conference with Vietnamese scientists in Queensland, Australia (February 2024). The conference was attended by representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia, Vietnamese scientists working in various fields at universities and governmental agencies in Queensland. At the conference, participants proposed initiatives for research cooperation, and shared how to attract funding from major research funds. 

In addition to attending connection conferences and meeting scientists from various fields to share and exchange experiences in development cooperation, in March 2024, Tuan had the opportunity to exchange ideas with Professor Greg Allenby - a world-leading scientist in developing research methods in Marketing (co-author of Bayesian Statistics and Marketing (2005, 2024 Wiley) currently working at Ohio State University, USA. Greg has published numerous scientific articles in top-tier marketing journals. With his outstanding contributions, Greg won the 2024 AMA Paul Converse Award, the 2023 AMA Gil Churchill Lifetime Achievement Award, and many other prestigious awards. Through the exchange, Greg expressed great interest in further connecting with scientists worldwide and would visit Vietnam for work in the near future. 

Besides actively participating in research activities, enhancing professional capacity, and developing cooperative relationships between UEB and leading professors and international universities, Tuan frequently teaches in academic terms at universities in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. 

Currently, Tuan is teaching postgraduate students at the Griffith Business School, Queensland. This is also the university with the top-ranked Social Marketing program in Australia, and it is also a leading research and training institution in this country. Through sending lecturers for exchange and research activities at well-known universities worldwide, UEB not only provides its lecturers with opportunities to enhance their knowledge, accumulate experiences, and develop research and teaching capabilities but also contributes to affirming the reputation and brand of the school with an internationally qualified lecturing staff, while also expanding cooperation networks, bringing practical values to both learners and educators. UEB believes that, with the support and companionship of the school, its lecturers will continue to break through to achieve more successes, contribute to the development of UEB, and equip students with valuable resources for their future careers!
