On 21st February 2017, VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) welcomed representatives of Assumption University of Thailand to discuss cooperation opportunities with the University.
Attending the meeting, there were Mr. Soonthorn Pibulcharoensit - Director of Office of Graduate Studies and Mr. Kitti Phothikitti - Dean of Graduate School of Business. From the UEB, there were Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development and Dr. Hoang Thi Bao Thoa - Director of the Center for International Training and Education.
Opening the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu gave warm welcome to representatives of Assumption University. Then, Dr. Le Trung Thanh introduced about training, research and exchange activities as well as noteworthy achievements of the UEB in international cooperation.
After that, Mr. Kitti Phothikitti referred to the functioning, training programs and development orientation of Assumption University, through which the two universities can identify common ground and mutual interest for cooperation activities. Assumption University is a private university with two campuses in Hua Mak and Bang Na of Bangkok, Thailand. The university has many programs taught entirely in English, 50% international lecturers from many countries around the world. The training program at Assumption School under credit system was recognized in the US and other countries. Currently the university has over 18,000 students from 58 countries around the world, including more than 200 students from Vietnam.

At the meeting, representatives of the two universities discussed the cooperation opportunities of joint training, short-term training, exchange of lecturers and students as well as potential cooperation activities in research and seminars/conferences. The two sides committed to continuing to exchange information for an early realization of cooperation ideas and effective operation in the future.
