- In 2012, the UEB enrolls only 430 students of regular bachelor program. Is it quite less than the expected number of the development of UEB? And it seems tough to candidates to compete?
Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh: The UEB is not planned to expand bachelor programs, we want to remain the present regular training scale and though expand the programs of high-quality, international standard and post-graduate training. Improving the training quality is the first criterion that university focuses, so that remaining the scale of training to suit the university’s resources, ensuring the training quality is important.
Opportunities for candidates of the UEB are not trivial. This is reflected in the two main points:
Firstly, in case a candidate’s score does not reach the admission score of his target program, but it is sufficient for the matriculation into UEB, the candidate is probably admitted then transferred to other program if the second one is still available. We are publishing specific information on the UEB website as soon as we have the enrollment results.
Secondly, as abovementioned, thanks to the double degree training programs with other VNU members such as University of Languages and International Study, University of Natural Science and School of Law, UEB students as well as students of these universities can share benefits at the second institute. In addition, the UEB is implementing the internal double degree program in Finance - Banking and Development Economics.
- As informed, in the next academic year, the UEB will have more scholarship awards for students. Would you share about this information?
Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh: In the next academic year, in addition to existing scholarships, there would be more from new donors such as In Sewa Ltd Organization, VPBank, Techcombank, etc. In particular, the In Sewa Ltd Organization is planned to sponsor 3 scholarship awards for Business Administration students, which is at 100.000.000VND per student per course.
- The slogan of UEB is "The road to success". How is the significance that the slogan bear?
Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh: UEB students are equipped with the knowledge and skills for the future. the UEB is willing to provide students with the best conditions to be able to study and research. As a UEB student, you are on the path to salute the success in the future. We stand ready to be a transporter to take the students to the port of glory.
