The Faculty of International Business and Economics (FIBE) was officially established in March 2007 under the name Faculty of International Economics, which originated from the Department of World Economics (founded in 1974) under the Faculty of Political Economy at Hanoi General University. In 2010, the Faculty of International Economics was renamed the Faculty of International Business and Economics to better align its training and research activities with Vietnam's trend towards globalization and international economic integration.
The Faculty currently consists of three departments:
- International Business
- World Economics and International Economic Relations
- International Finance
