On 14th January 2019, the UEB received the master students and lecturers from The Schar School of Policy and Government , George Mason University, the US to attend the course on “Vietnam Study Abroad Programme” in 8 days.
The course aims to establish and strengthen cooperation between VNU University of Economics and Business and George Mason University as well as create opportunities for academic and cultural exchange between Vietnam and the US. Attending the course, there were 14 graduate students of George Mason University.
Welcoming the students and lecturers of George Mason University, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector of the UEB expressed her pleasure to host the students from the US. This is the second delegation from George Mason University to attend the course at the UEB, after the first course in 2018, which means the course has proved meaningful for the international students. Throughout this course, the UEB aims to provide the students with realistic view of a dynamic and developing economy in Vietnam. This is also an opportunity to promote cooperation between the two universities, creating more academic exchanges between lecturers and students.

The course takes place from January 14th to January 19th, 2019, the students will attend lectures presented by leading professors and economists such as Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi - VNU University of Economics and Business; Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Tung - Director of Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development, Dr. Nguyen Dang Doanh - Former Director of Institute of Economic Management, Dr. Nguyen Viet Thanh - University of Natural Resources and Environment, Ms. Pham Chi Lan - Former Vice President of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the course, the participants will take part in discussions, visit Chu Dau Pottery and famous landscapes of Vietnam such as Quoc Tu Giam Temple, Hanoi Old Quarter. Ha Long Bay etc.
