UEB in comprehensive cooperation with institutions from Poland

Besides cooperation with Crarow University of Economics (Poland), VNU University of Economics and Business has developed cooperation with diplomatic agencies and management agencies in Poland. On 19th June, the University received Polish Ambassador to visit and work with leaders of the university.

Attending the meeting, from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vietnam, there were: Mr. Wojciech Gerwel - Ambassador, Mr. Maciej Duszynski - Deputy Ambassador, Mr. Jan Filip Stanilko - Director of Innovation Department, Ministry of Business Industry and Technology; from University of Economics and Business, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Mr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development, MA. Nguyen Duc Lam - Deputy Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development.

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector of the UEB welcomed guests from Poland to visit the University. She hoped that the partnership between Poland and Vietnam will be promoted strongly, mentioning the establishment of cooperation between Vietnamese and Polish universities. Currently, the University of Economics and Business has a connection with the Cracow University of Economics (Poland), which gave lecturer exchange and joint research opportunities for UEB’s students.

Mr. Wojciech Gerwel - Ambassador of Poland thanked the university for the warm welcome. He expressed his interest on cultural exchange between the two countries, wishing more and more Vietnamese students to come to Poland to study.

On the occasion of this visit, the Director of the Polish Innovation Department, Mr. Jan Filip Stanilko attended the seminar and discussed the topic 4.0 Industrial Revolution in Poland - influence and solution with students and lecturers of the University.

Mr. Jan Filip Stanilko said: “Labor productivity is the core element of development. Labor productivity comes from the organization’s knowledge, data, and activities”. In addition, he also further analyzed the intangible and tangible elements in the economy; the impact of intangible assets on labor productivity in the current context and provides concrete evidence of the economy and labor productivity of businesses in Poland with experience lesson. He pointed out that the 4.0 revolution is the strength of the technical foundation, the technological development and it comes from a number of developed countries owning those advantages. For developing countries the application and development of such technologies is also not easy, countries must have "the mindset" of workers at 4.0, ready to change the same old thinking, old tools, old way towards the way to make a breakthroughs and innovations so that the 4.0 revolution could really come to life.

The seminar with Polish experts provided lecturers and students of UEB with lots of useful information and methodologies, an objective view on the industrial revolution 4.0 taking place in Poland, from which we can gain a lot of experiences for the economic development in Vietnam.
