Thriive businesses gave warm coats for children in Hoa Binh

On 12th August 2019, two Thriive businesses including 2 textile companies Thuy Dung and Trong Quynh gave over 1000 warm coats for the children in Hoa Binh.

Thriive Hanoi is the project managed by VNU University of Economics and Business. Thriive aims at providing machinery and technology for social enterprises to expand business. The enterprises after that give the payback for the project by vocational training and products for the communities.

 
 
 

Thuy Dung and Trong Quynh textile companies became Thriive business in 2018 and received support to expand business, buying more machinery and hiring more employees. To date, the companies have double in size, providing jobs for the disadvantaged and the disable.

 
 

Within their payback plan, the company gave over 1.000 warm coats for the children in Hoa Binh. On this occasion, Thriive team together with owners of these companies and other social enterprises came to Pa Co and Hang Pia communes, Mai Chau District, Ha Binh Province to present the gifts to the children.

 

The delegation was warmly welcomed by the local authorities. Mr. Sung A Mang – Chairman of the People committee of Pa Co commune said: “Our commune is at remote area with many difficulties, especially in transportation. The children don’t have enough warm coats in the winter. I highly appreciated the presents from enterprises and VNU University of Economics and Business.”
