UEB and Vietnam National Assembly Television cooperate in comprehensive communication strategy and shoulder national responsibility

With key contributions, leading to Vietnam's first ranking QS top 501-550 in the world of Business and Management Research, on the 3rd March 2022, the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) and the Vietnam National Assembly Television signed a strategic communication cooperation agreement to promote and disseminate policy recommendations, scientific research and valuable technology transfer to contribute to Vietnam's socio-economic development and international integration.

Attending the signing ceremony were the top leaders of the two institutions. Representatives of the VNU University of Economics and Business included Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice-Rector; together with all officers and lecturers representing faculties/institutes, functional departments while from the side of Vietnam National Assembly Television were Mr. Le Quang Minh - General Director of National Assembly Television; Mr. Dang Linh - Head of the editorial secretariat; Mr. Xuan Dan - Head of the News Department; Reporters and Editors of National Assembly Television's News and Economic Programs.

 

 

Overview of the Signing Ceremony

Speaking at the opening of the Ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le expressed his pleasure about this cooperation. He talked about the outstanding achievements and typical contributions of the University in recent years. In particular, VNU's achievements are ranked in the top QS 501 - 550 in the world in the field of Business & Management Research; The University is recognized as a key, pioneer, and leading institution, contributing to 80% of this remarkable achievement.

The Vietnam National Assembly Television is one of the essential television agencies of the country with two objectives including serving TV viewers with practical content and serving as the official media agency of the National Assembly of Vietnam. In 2022, the Vietnam National Assembly Television was oriented to develop key and in-depth economic programs for the National Assembly. Therefore, The Vietnam National Assembly Television and the VNU University of Economics and Business agreed to become strategic partners and to promote the strengths and potentials of each side to develop policy consultants, content, and topics for key economic programs.

Mr. Le Quang Minh - General Director of the Vietnam National Assembly Television said: "Today when I stepped into the VNU University of Economics and Business, I and the delegation of the Vietnam National Assembly Television could not help but be surprised about your development and growth that we are putting our trust in through the media. But being able to meet directly with the teaching staff, and witness first handed the commitment and thoughtfulness of the VNU University of Economics and Business's teaching staff and very modern and advanced equipment and facilities, I am in full confidence and optimism about this cooperation. We are very pleased that the economic television programs of the Vietnam National Assembly Television will have the participation and advice of a team of scientists, and qualified and reputable lecturers from the VNU University of Economics and Business. Hopefully, we will create TV programs, seminars specializing in economics, management and business administration... with depth for viewers to watch television."

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le introduced Mr. Le Quang Minh and the Vietnam National Assembly Television's delegation to the University’s talented scientists and lecturers: "The VNU University of Economics and Business currently has 287 staff in which 2/3 are lecturers. The teaching staffs were well selected, well-trained in developed countries around the world, many of them obtained the titles of associate professors. They returned home and joined the University because this is a modern and highly internationalized educational environment and a place for them to develop their full potential. That is why we are confident that we can meet the requirements and work with the Vietnam National Assembly Television to create meaningful and practical programs".

Mr. Le Quang Minh fully believed that the University’s lecturers are a valuable resource for the Vietnam National Assembly Television to develop economic programs in the coming time. In addition, he also said that the lecturers may become professional MCs in the field of economics on programs of the Vietnam National Assembly Television in the future.

Cooperation between the VNU University of Economics and Business and the Vietnam National Assembly Television is expected to bring the image and quality of a team of highly qualified scientists and lecturers closer to the audience, thereby, affirming the quality of training and prestige in research and teaching of UEB. Mr. Le Quang Minh also expressed his wish that, in addition to the lecturers, students will also be an interesting resource for the editorial team of National Assembly Television to exploit and practice attractive TV shows and talk shows

At the end of the exchange, the two sides agreed to sign a cooperation agreement to strengthen the relationship in communication activities, share experiences to promote the potentials and strengths of each party, and jointly take on the national responsibility of communication information, training, and development of human resources, scientific research, and technology transfer to serve the socio-economic development, international integration and development of each party

Specifically, UEB is committed to providing leading lecturers and experts in seminars, columns, and topics on economics, management, and business administration, so when having an inquiry for research and applied topics of the University's strengths; the National Assembly Television will cooperate and support the UEB in promoting and spreading applied scientific research, high policy recommendations, international seminars and forums and outstanding educational and training activities of the University to the public.

VNU University of Economics and Business has always been known as a dynamic educational environment with a strategic vision and international development orientation. The cooperation between UEB and Vietnam National Assembly Television will contribute to raising the University's communication in all aspects and creating in-depth television programs for TV viewers in the fields of economy, business, and management.

After the signing ceremony, the Vietnam National Assembly Television’s delegation visited the campus of the VNU University of Economics and Business and met faculties and functional departments of the University.
