The Vietnam - Spain Cultural Exchange seminar held at the UEB to celebrate the 45th year anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between two countries. This event brought a lot of interesting information about the culture of "the land of bulls", the passion for football, Flamenco dance and also people with hospitality.
Attending the seminar, from UEB-VNU, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Dr. Pham Vu Thang - Vice President of the School of Business Administration. From Spanish side, there were H.E Pilar Méndez Jiménez - Ambassador of the Republic of Spain to Vietnam and Mr. Brian Wright - Director of LaLiga in Vietnam. The seminar also attracted hundreds of students, athletes - students of the sports talent program at UEB.
At the meeting, Rector Nguyen Truc Le warmly welcomed H.E. Ms. Pilar Méndez Jiménez to UEB-VNU as well as briefly introduced the overview and highlights of UEB-VNU. “Vietnam always appreciate the strategic relationships with European partners, especially Spain. Spanish universities and businesses has meaningful impacts to the university in the process of integration and development, thereby promoting exchange culture, cooperation for mutual benefits.” shared Rector Nguyen Truc Le
This event is also a basis for consolidating strategic relations and promoting educational cooperation, making an important contribution to the realization of economic goals and sustainable human resource development between the two countries.
Following the Government's orientation in developing the sports economy, "Bachelor of Business Administration for Sports Talents" - a different and groundbreaking training program of UEB has contributed to bringing athletes into the economy. Dr. Pham Vu Thang - Vice Dean, School of Business Administration shared about the content of the training program - UEB's special strength with guests and students participating in the program.
Responding to the sharing of the UEB - VNU, H.E Pilar Méndez Jiménez excitedly introduced to UEB’s student about Spanish language and culture with the topic “Economic value of Spanish language”.
Another highlight of the event was the presentation of Mr. Brian Wright - Director of LaLiga in Vietnam on “Sports Business”: an international career path.
Assessing the Bachelor of Business Administration program for Sports Talents of the UEB - VNU, Mr. Brian agreed that: “Not every athlete can become a coach after retirement. Therefore, the study program of the UEB - VNU is very useful, bringing many job opportunities in the future for the players."
Talented athletes students at the seminar also showed their bravery and talent when giving a unique presentation with the theme "Personal brand of Vietnamese professional athletes".
The atmosphere was more lively when many students excitedly participated in interaction and make questions with honorable speakers. Their answers has helped students expand their knowledge about Spanish culture in general and career opportunities in particular.

The working visit to the UEB of the Spanish Ambassador to Vietnam continued to affirm the UEB’s international prestige and efforts to constantly expand international cooperation and integration, especially in the fields of education and training, science and technology, language and cultural exchange.
