After the signing ceremony, the cooperation between the 2 sides will greater increase.
On 20th August 2008, the MOU signing ceremony between the University of Economics and Business - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (UEB - VNU) and Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) was solemnly held.
On behalf of the UEB to present at the ceremony, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice Rector of the UEB, representatives of Cooperation and Development Department and Management Board of International cooperation. On behalf of Swinburne University of Technology, there was Prof. Stephen Connelly, Vice President.
At the ceremony, after introducing the history of the University, development orientation and training programs, representatives of both two sides discussed on the cooperation abilities, particularly the 2+2 program and CAP (Collaboration Articulation Program). The discussion was open and friendly conducted, the both two sides satisfied with the results gained from the discussion.
Then, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son and Prof. Stephen Connelly signed the MOU of cooperative issues which will be implemented in the near future with the witness of two sides’ representatives.
Among Australian University, Swinburne University of Technology is the 4th ranked University in Learning and Teaching Quality (according to surveys conducted by Department of Education, Science and Training DEST, 2005). Swinburne University attaches special importance to research, business and innovation. Swinburne University’s studying programs are appropriate to demands and requirements in the economic - commercial fields.
The MOU signing ceremony between the UEB - VNU and Swinburne University of Techology is a new step in broaden the cooperative relationships with high standard Universities around the world, thus helps UEB’s students approach high quality training programs and new studying opportunities. This is also an important step in implementing the UEB’s policy: Cooperation for development.
