On March 20, 2018, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and Toshiba Scholarship Fund (Japan) held the "Toshiba Scholarship Mid-Year Meeting" school year 2017-2018 for 15 graduate students of Vietnam National University. Three students of the UEB have received this scholarship.
Attending the ceremony, from Toshiba Scholarship Fund, there was Mr. Kazuki Matsumoto - Chief Technology Officer, Toshiba Corporation; Mr. Keitaro Shigenaka - General Director of Toshiba Software Development Company in Vietnam; Mr. Kazuo Kusakabe - Chief Representative of Toshiba Asia Pacific Office in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong Thanh - Planning Office, Representative Office of Toshiba Asia Pacific in Hanoi.
At the meeting, master and doctoral students of VNU reported and discussed the results of their research projects after receiving Toshiba scholarships in October 2017. On behalf of VNU, Vice Head of the Political-Student Affairs Department - Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh expressed the gratitude to Toshiba Scholarship Fund for giving scholarships to VNU’s students and suggesting meaningful solutions and guidelines for better learning environments in VNU.
This event, three doctoral students of VNU University of Economics and Business honored to receive the scholarship, including:
- Phung The Vinh, QH-2016 Business Administration
- Trinh Hong Thai, QH-2016 Business Administration
- Hoang Trong Hoa, QH-2016 Business Administration
Student Phung The Vinh said after the meeting: I am honored to receive the Toshiba scholarship. The scholarship not only gave me financial aid to do the research but also motivate me in studying harder to receive doctoral degree from the UEB.
