Attending the meeting were Dr. Vu Anh Dzung, Vice Rector of VNU-UEB; two vice dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu, and Dr. Le Trung Thanh and the official in charge of international relations.
In the framework of cooperation, the California State University, Long Beach - CSULB and the VNU-UEB has signed the Memorandum in 11/2012, which set the basis for the development of joint training program between the two universities in which the Faculty of Finance and Banking is a unit to directly implement.
CSULB is a globally-engaged public university, highly ranked in the university system of 23 members of the California State University, United States - who had several years of cooperation with Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training in the implementation of the advanced program. CSULB also has experience in building and implementing training cooperation with the universities of Vietnam within the framework of the Advanced Program.
Discussed at the meeting, Dr. Vu Anh Dzung expressed his desire to accelerate the implementation of the terms in the signed MOU through the sketches and plans to sign an detailed agreement in the near future. Accordingly, representatives of Faculty of Finance and Banking, Dr. Le Trung Thanh and Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu will directly exchange and agreed on cooperation agreement with CSULB, which aims to develop the curriculum framework of Master of International Finance and Banking Management jointly trained between the VNU-UEB and California State University, Long Beach.
