II. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Functions:
The
Office of Communication and Brand Management has the function of advising and
assisting the Rector to organize and mangage activities related to website,
communication and brand management of UEB.
2. Responsibilities:
2.1 Advising to develop and issue documents (regulations,
guidelines, plans...) on website activities, communication, and brand
management.
2.2 Organizing the implementation, inspection and reporting on these
following tasks:
a) Website administration
- Taking the main
responsibility in projects to establish, upgrade and develop the website of the
University.
- Managing and
administering the website of the University.
- Operating the website
system to ensure stability 24/7, safety on Internet environment; performing
data backup periodically (once per week).
- Developing the
University's website system, handing over the website's code to the Center for Economic and Management Information System after completing each
component of the website.
- Fixing bugs arising
during website operation.
- Promoting the University's
website on other media.
- Promoting and
disseminating policies of the Party, the State, VNU and the University on the website.
- Providing services and information on website as
regulated by laws and directions of the VNU and the UEB.
- Assisting other units by providing expertise in
administering the website of the units as regulated; inspect and supervise the
information on websites of the units.
- Evaluating the websites
of other units periodically.
- Confirming publication
of doctoral thesis on the websites for fellows.
- Implementing bundled
services meeting requirements of the University in certain stages.
b) Media and Communication
- Taking the main
responsibility for internal and external communication activities.
- Publishing media
publications including documentaries, clips, video.
- Organizing press conference; contacting with the
mass media to issue news of the University; receiving reporters visiting the
University.
- Organizing
communication/public relations training courses/seminars for staff and students
of UEB.
c) Brand Management
- Developing and managing
the corporate identity package of the University.
- Developing strategy to promote
the University's brand in accordance with periodical development goals.
- Organizing activities to
enhance and promote the University's brand.
- Taking the main
responsibility in registering brand of the University with authorities.
2.3
Coordinating with other functional units in implementing the University's plans
and tasks related to the unit's functions.
- Coordinating
with the Center for Economic and Management Information System to ensure
transmission, hosting, web data backup, source code periodically.
- Coordinating
with units of UEB, news agencies to promote the University through media
channels.
2.4
Performing other tasks as assigned by the Rector.
